New LO

This summer we went for 1 day to Sluis, a city in The Netherlands. We both love walking around in that town. There are nice shops and good restaurants. I created a page with pics we took on that day.

I'm having a week off. Yiiippppeeee!!!! It's Autumn holiday at school so no teaching for a whole week. I have a book that I want to finish and there are some movies I want to see too.

Sick

Eric didn't open his pub yesterday as he was ill. When I came home from work I was suprised to see him at home. We enjoyed each others company. It was great to be together. Not so great for Eric as he had to sneeze and blow his nose the whole time.

Guess what I had when I woke up this morning????? Indeed, running nose, sneezing the whole time, heavy head!! Yep, I'm sick too. Went to work today as I didn't have to work this afternoon.

I'm off to bed, hope a little sleep will help to feel better tomorrow

I started my album about our holiday in Turkey. These are the first pages about the flight and airport. I used some love, Elsie paper.

This evening I have a meeting with the staff in our school so I'm sure this will be boring. It's always like that. Yikes!! Can't wait till it's 6 pm so that I can go home and maybe scrap some more.

Brugge

I made this page for the challenge on the Art Noevoo blog. We had to be tourists in our own country and make a LO about it. My grandmother lives in Brugge and I really love this city. It has a lot of historical houses and beautiful water canals.

Of course there are lots of shops and cosy pubs. Yeah, Brugge is my favourite city!!

Yes, indeed, there are still some pics left.

The first week at school was good. I love to teach again. The only thing I hate right now is that I'm still not in my sleeping routine. I can't sleep enough. During summer holidays, I went to bed around midnight but now I need to be in bed around 10.30 pm or I'm too sleepy in the morning. When I'm in bed at 10.30, I'm not tired enough to sleep. I wake up again around 3-4 am and have trouble sleeping again. My alarm is set at 7 am so that doesn't give me a lot of time to sleep. Oh well, I guess I will get used to it in some weeks.

First schooldays

My first days of the schoolyear was good. I was supernervous and couldn't sleep the day before but I guess all teachers are like that. In the morning it was busy because there were books, writing blocks, ... to give to the kids. In the afternoon I started my first lessons and they went ok. It was like I haven't been on summer holidays. All kids were nice and friendly. In the evening, I was so tired. I worked for school till 8 pm and then relaxed. I watched some tv till 10.30 pm and then went to bed.

Today was the second day and I wasn't nervous at all. In the afternoon I got a nice drawing from a girls in my class. She has written 'You are a beautiful and sweet teacher'. I was soooo happy. It's now on the wall in my classroom. Always nice to read stuff like that.

Later today, my sister came to give me my birthday present. I was so happy to see her as she lives 200 kms away from me. She had to be in my city for her job so she came to my house for a quick visit. Guess what she gave me????? A coupon for a wellness center. I can choose from 10 wellness centers, isn't that great?? My sister is such a fantastic girl. Love you, Goelie!!!

Getting nervous

Only 1 day to go and then school starts again in Belgium. Many kids will be sad that the summer vacation is over and so will I. I'll go teaching again. Last year, I didn't have many teaching hours but this year I'll work full time. It will be a big diffrence to me and Eric. I'll be less at home and when I get home, I'll have tons of schoolwork. Oh well, I don't mind. At least I will earn more money, haha. I've done my lesson planning for the first week but I'm still very nervous. It's always like that on the first day after summer vacation.

Yes, I'm turning 28 today. OMG, that sounds old to me. Only 2 years to go and then I'm 30.

No special plans for me today. Eric has to work the whole day and evening so I decided to go to my grandmother together with my dad. Maybe I'll buy myself a present, haha.

Turkey was great

Hi everyone,
I'm back!! Turkey was fantastic. The weather was hot and sunny. Very diffrent from the cold and rain here in Belgium. We relaxed a lot and I've read 2,5 books during this week. In the evening we had a few drinks in a bar. Not a discotheque, just quiet music and nice people.
I'll show you some pics about the trip. Have fun watching them.

Yes, we leave to Içmeler, Turkey on Tuesday morning. Our plane takes off at 6 am so we'll leave our house in the middle of the night.
We'll be back on Tuesday August 21st in the evening. See you all then (it will be Wednesday till I'm online again).

Amazing crop

Wednesday evening, I had a fantastic time. Kelly invited me for a crop at her place. We were with 7 girls, all ready to scrap. I made 2 pages. Hope to post them next time.

Kelly's boyfriend made us some mozarella with herbs toast and it was yummie!! There were some fresh vegetables with sauce and chips too.
