A nice weekend

I'm having a nice weekend right now. It all started on Friday evening. I went to a fantastic scrapbook workshop given by Birgit Koopsen. We created a wonderful page using a sketch. I learned some new techniques that I will use a lot. It was great to spend an evening with other scrappers so you can imagine that we chatted a lot. Birgit is a wonderful person and we had lots of fun searching a tittle for a layout. I took a pic of my page but I still have to upload it. So I can only show you the picture I used on the page.

Yesterday my sister and my dad came to our place to check out the renovations of our flat. As most of you already know, my sis lives in Hasselt (200 km away from Ieper) so she hasn't seen it yet. She was here for the opening of the pub but the renovations of the flat only started after the opening. My sis is an architect so she's very interested in how it will look like. According to her the place will be beautiful with lots of light. Only 7 weeks to go and then we want to move. I guess it will be a stressful time.

Today is relaxation day. Eric is at home so we will enjoy each others company. I'm typing this entry while I'm still in bed. It's already 12:30. Yeah, I know!!! I ate breakfast in bed and now I'm checking e-mails and browsing the net. I guess it's time to take a shower, do some schoolwork and I need to iron some clothes too. Yikes! I don't mind ironing but today I want to relax. I guess we will go for a walk too, later this afternoon (if the weather is good).

Here are 2 new layouts. I didn't scrap this week so I made them almost 2 weeks ago.

In January, Eric and I went to Hasselt. My sister lives over there and we wanted to spend a weekend there. We booked a hotel room as we wanted some privacy and time for our own too. It was a lovely weekend with some shopping, long walks, yummie food, ...

Almost 4 years ago, we went to a bbq for a beach volley contest. We were surpised to see some old friends over there too.

Another page

How is the weather at your place? I hope it's the same like here. We are having fantastic weather. The sun shines bright every day and we can wear skirts and tank tops. It's about 28°C - 30°C. It started last week and it will stay like that for another 10 days. They don't know what weather it will be then because it's still too far away. These days I'm spending my time in the garden where I enjoy the sun while reading a book.
Last weekend I did some scrapbooking too. Have a look at them:

When I'm in Brugge together with my dad, we always go to Joey's Café. A very cosy pub where I love to drink a Leffe.

We have a tv-programme called 'My restaurant'' where 5 couples try to run a restaurant and the winner can stay open. The other restaurants have to close. I really love this show. You can see the restaurant 'Red Pepper' on the pic. It's about 40 min. by car.

New creations

I've made some new creations last week.

If we need some time for our own, we go to the sauna to relax. Last time we had some treatments too. There was a massage with chocolate oil and a body peeling.
We finally have some real spring weather. The sun shines the whole day and we can even wear skirts and tank tops. I took this pic last week while I relaxed in the sun.

Still renovating

Yep, we are still renovating. The pub opened at March 20 but we still have the flat upstairs that has to be ready before August.

Sad news

My sweet rabbit Bubbles died yesterday. Since the weather was more sunny the past 2 weeks, my rabbit was jumping around in the garden again. During winter, she's in a cage in our living room. I don't know what happened but when I went outside to have a look where she was, I found her dead in her cage. Her cage is open so that she can run through the whole garden. She loved running around. There is a wall around our garden so she couldn't escape and that's why she could run free.

Bubbles was a birthday present from my dad and my sister when I turned 25. That means, that she was almost 4 years with me. I'll miss her .....
