I made another layout for the callenges at Shimelle. This time I had to use a picture from before 2011. I had some pictures printed from my childhood and I choose one where I was still a baby. I think the picture is from somewhere in 1980 because I was born in august 1979.
That's all that we can say about horrible thing that happened at Pukkelpop . Pukkelpop is a big music festival here in Belgium.
Last night, there was a very bad storm for only 10 - 15 minutes. It started to rain hard, lots of lightning and thunder, very windy, hail, .... Then the worst thing happened. One of the tents fell down because of the storm and another tent was destroyed by a tree. Lots of people where inside those tents to shelter for the bad weather. Can you imagine what happened. People fell down, were under the tree, lots of panic. The sad thing is: so far 5 people are dead and there are about 140 people injured. Still 5 people are struggling for their life.
I knew my sister was at the festival too so I was worried like hell. I send her a text message but she didn't answer right away. After about half an hour, she texted me that she was allright. She was so lucky because she was in the tent where the tree fell. She couldn't escape right away and there was a lot of panic. Finally she found a way out and lost her friends + boyfriend during the 'escape'. After about an hour, they finally found each other.
This is a picture of the tent and the red circle shows where she got out of the tent.
The weather is aweful right now. It's raining cats and dogs, it's cold, ... and that while it is suppose to be summer. Grrrrrrrrrrrr, I want to see the sun and enjoy the outside life inside of staying indoors.
The only positive thing about the weather is that I love to crochet and scrap. I made a page yesterday and I did some crochet too.
It's a page about our trip to Petra in Jordany. My god, it was hot over there. It felt like we were melting. I'm glad we took some bottles of water with us. We really needed them.
I made this page, using this design from Shimelle for her online scrapbooking weekend. I had so much fun creating this.
Now something else. It's my sisters birthday in October so I already started creating her present. I'm making a blanket. I saw that Revlie made a lovely blanket for Ruben so I was totally inspired with it. I went to the shop to buy some wool and began crochetting.
This is how it looks right now
I went scrapshopping yesterday together with my scrapbuddy Daphné. We live in Belgium and twice a year we go to Holland for some shopping.
First we went to Paper&Pictures in Doorn. Oooooo, I love that shop! It has loads and loads of paper. I always find some stamps that I love too. It's such a beautiful shop that looks like you are shopping in a living room instead of a shop.
After that, we drove to Heesch where we first had some lunch at Mc Donalds.
Then we headed to the Scrapbookwinkel. Lot's of diffrent stuff for scrapbookers, cards makers and even cake makers. Love to shop there too but my favourite is still Paper&Pictures.
This is what I bought yesterday. Didn't tell my boyfriend what I've spend ;-)
