Transformation ;-)

I was in a shop when I saw this lovely baby t-shirt. There were sales and I only paid 0,50 euro!!! I fell in love with the print on it. Then, suddenly, I got an idea. I rushed to the 'Veritas' where they sell zippers and I bought a flashy pink zipper. When I got home, I ran to my sewing machine and ....

This is the result! A little purse for my pocket camera. The lining inside is pink like the zipper is pink too.

Do you remember the layout in my last post? The one with the pancakes? I was one of the favourites at the Sketchy Thursday webblog!!! I was so thrilled when I saw my layout posted on their site. Thanks a lot, Sketchy Thursday, love you!

Handmade

My grandmother gave me her sewing machine. I think it's more than 40 years old but it still works. I read the instructions and tried if it still works and it did. So I started searching the internet for patterns of handbags. I found a very nice one at http://www.ottobredesign.com

The next day I went to the shop and bought some nice fabrics and started sewing. This is how it turned out. What do you think about it????

I'm really into sewing right now so I already bought some new fabrics for another bag. If any of you have some nice patterns of websites with patterns of handbags, please let me know!! You would make me sooooooooooooooo happy.
Enjoy the weekend!
love, Isolde

Hi everyone,
Here I am again. I'm enjoying very hot summer weather here in Belgium. I love it a lot but the only negative thing about it is that I'm not in the mood for scrapping. I have tons of ideas but I can't create. Frustrating!!!

I forced myself to scrap wednesday evening and I had so much fun. I made a layout for the new challenge at http://scrapandstampsaturday.blogspot.com

This week you can win 2 digis of your choice from this sponsor:

I hope you all play along with us and use this sketch for this week. Our talented member Paola designed this sketch.
This is what I did with the sketch.

So, grap your stuff and create a layout with this wonderful sketch. Leave a link at the website of SSS and maybe you'll win!

Still alive

I'm so sorry for not posting the past weeks. Life has been busy around here. Two days ago was the last schoolday before summer holidays. It was superbusy with meetings with the parents and getting all the stuff ready for the end of the schoolyear. I'm having 2 months summer holidays right now but that doesn't mean that I don't have to work. Yesterday and today I need to visit the parents of the kids that will be in my class next year. I want to work a bit ahead for next year too.

All of this nees to be done in very hot weather. We will have 37°C today. It's too hot to sit outside.

New Challenge + tutorial for felt flowers

The challenge this week at Scrap and Stamp Saturday (you can find the link on the right bar) is simple! We would love to see handmade flowers with at least one stamp used on your layout! Easy enough right we all love flowers, right?

I've made a tutorial for felt flowers. Feel free to use it. If you make any flowers and you use it on your layout, could you leave a comment with your blog? I would love to see your creations.

What you need?
- 3 colours felt
- scissors
- glue or other adhesive
- button

How does it work?
Draw 1 large petal and 1 smaller petal on paper. You can choose what size you want.

Cut out the templates and draw the petals on the felt. You will need 6 small petals and 12 large ones.

· 6 small ones in 1 colour
· 6 large ones in another colour
· 6 large ones in the third colour

Form each set of 6 petals into an overlapping circle. Glue each petal to the adjacent petal.

When you finish them all, you will have 3 flower layers

Stick the 3 layers on each other and use adhesive on top to stick the button.

Finished!!!

I used the sketch of Creative Scrappers for this layout!! You surely have to go over there to see the lovely sketches they have. http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/

Another layout

Here is a new layout! I created it last Wednesday. Gent is a historical city in Belgium where we love to walk around, have a drink or eat a yummie meal. It's also the city where I went to university for 4 years. I had a wonderful time over there.
