The story of my ankle

Saturday night my ankle started to swell and feel very painful. I thought it was because I danced a lot at the wedding I had to attend. After the wedding, I helped Eric in the new pub and that's when my ankle started to hurt. When we got home I took a pain killer and went to bed. The next morning I was still painful but not that swollen anymore. As the day went by, it got worse and worse. I tried to help in the pub but I had trouble walking on it. When I showed my ankle to some people in the pub, they told me that it was very strange and that I really needed to see a doctor. In the weekend, doctors don't work over here (there is one doctor for one city during the weekend) so my dads girlfriend took me to the emergency in the hospital. They took X-rays but couldn't see what was wrong. Meanwhile I couldn't walk on it anymore and it started to turn red on the other ankle and leg too. The doctor was not sure what it was but he told me that I needed to stay there for the night. They gave me antibiotics straight into my vains. I thought that I could go home on Monday but it was Easter Monday so no doctors the whole day. I still didn't know what was wrong with me. On Tuesday, they told me I had a bacterium that causes infections. So I had to stay till the infections were gone. Finally, on Thursday morning, they took blood again and saw that the infection was gone. Yippeee!!!! Now I'm home but still feeling a bit dizzy in my head. My blood presure is too low.
The doctor told me that I got this infection because I was too tired and stressed. That can be true because working full time and then helping in the pub is hard. Oh well, we will see what happens.

Take care,
Isolde

Wow, dat klinkt niet best meid! Tijd om het wat rustiger aan te doen! Misschien moet je toch wat meer tijd nemen om te ontspannen en te scrappen :) Hoop dat je snel weer helemaal de oude bent!

Awww my dear, I'm terribly late with my message, I'm so sorry I wasn't there to support you when you needed it :-(
I'm glad you're ok now, I guess, like you did, that it happend because of stress and tiredness, now take care and relax.
I hope you received my letter and that it cheered you up a bit.
A lot of kisses, my dear friend, you can't imagine how much I'd love to hug you face-to-face. If you need company, you can send me SMS!!

Oh dear! That's scarey! Those bacteria that get in the blood system are extremely dangerous! At first it sounded to me like a spider bite. I'm glad they figured it out and that you're all better.
