Travel Journal

Only two days left and we travel to the Dominican Republic.  I really can't wait to relax in the sun, swim in the ocean, see the wonderful nature, ....... 

The last days, I was creating a travel journal.  I used lots of stamps, paint and glimmer mist.  Hope you like what I made.

Scrap and Stamp Challenge

This week we have another GREAT sketch from Vicky - I love her 2 page layouts (I generally scrap that way and love that she uses tons of photos on each sketch). Please join in and use either side of the sketch or both pages (we have examples of both) in addition to a stamp on your layout!

The winner this week will receive flowers - some crocheted, some felt, some paper, etc... It will be a fun assortment of flowers!

Scrap and Stamp

Next wednesday, Eric and I leave for our vacation.  Really can't wait to enjoy 2 weeks of sun, sand and sea.  I'm working on a travel journal right now as I love to remember every single bit of the adventure.

New layout

Last week, I finally found some time to scrap again!  It was fantastic to create after almost a month.

On the layout you can see Eric and I while we were away for the weekend in November 2010.  We went to Oostende, a city at the Belgian coast.

Look what I got ....

two days ago!!!

My bf gave me this as an early birthday present.  My birthday is in August but we go on vacation in July.  We leave for 2 weeks and I don't want to carry along lots of books so I wanted an E-reader.  It's a Sony PRS 650.
Any of you who know where I can buy (or better: get for free ;-)) some good books.  All suggestions are welcome.

Getting messy and dirty

Do you know Julie Fei-Fan Balzer? She makes fantastic creative layouts and art journals. I love her art journals a lot, more than her layouts. I saw on her website (http://www.balzerdesigns.typepad.com/) that she was teaching a layout workshop live on Prima. I could see it 'live' but I found the video and started creating. It was totally not the way I normaly scrap but I loved getting messy and dirty. I played with acrylic paint, glue, glimmer mist, stamps, .... Sketchy Thursdays

The weather is wonderful over here. Plenty of sun and nice temperatures. Yeah, spring is in the air!!! It made me wanna scrap. I used the sketch of sketchy thursdays and some pics of our vacation in Djerba, Tunesia back in 2008.

Reflections + sketch 228 Pencillines

The prize for playing along with us in this challenge is a cute little chipboard mini album from Creative Imaginations.
Our challenge this week will probably push you to really think. I know it did some of our team. But I hope you will take the challenge anyway. We want to see a layout about you, 'Reflections of you, right now' to be exact. If you are like I am you don't do enough pages about yourself. This will be a great one for our kids, grandkids, etc to get a feel of the real us one day. Don't forget the stamps!!

Vintage Wednesday - music

On Céline Navarro's blog, you can find her Vintage Wednesday music list. It inspired me to have a look at the hit list in the year that I became 18 (1997).
I still remember this song. It makes me think of the boy that I was totally in love with at that time. We stayed together for 3 years.
