Sketch

I used the sketch of Piens Weblog to create this layout about a fisherman in Djerba. The photo is not the best quality because you can see the flashlight reflection. On the bottom of this post, you can see the same layout without the flashlight reflection.

Paint

Our new challenge at Scrap and Stamp is to use paint on the borders of your pictures. You can win a gift certificate of $15 in this shop: I didn't have time to scrap this week so I took one of my pages I made a long time ago. I think I created this one in 2006. I think you can see that my style has changed by the years. I liked it a lot back then, but now I'm not sure about it anymore. Oh well, I guess everyone has those feelings about a few layouts, don't you?

Fall is in the country and you can see it when you look outside: rain, rain, rain,.... Ideal for some scrapping, don't you think?

This is what I came up with. A simple layout about the wedding of my dad and his girlfriend Hilde.

This is a picture of Christina. The beautiful daughter of my sweet friend Tamara. When I knew that Tamara was having a daughter I started knitting. I wanted to give her a special gift. This is how it looks like.

Scraptastic 2010

This weekend I went to Scraptastic!! What a fantastic event. We stayed there for the weekend and did lots of awesome workshops. On Saturday I did a workshop by Birgit Koopsen and Nathalie Kalbach. On Sunday I did again 2 workshops. This time by Evelien Verschelde and Birgit Koopsen.

While we were on vacation in Djerba, we saw people selling all kinds of stuff on the beach. Made a layout about them.

Busy, busy, busy

The start of the new schoolyear is always very busy for me as I'm a teacher in grade 3 (age 7 - 8 years). That's also why I didn't post any new layouts .

Last Sunday we needed some US-time so Eric and I went to the coast for a look walk on the pier.

Meet ...

this new member of the family. I created this little rabbit for my sister. Her rabbit died two weeks ago and I wanted to give her something to cheer her up. This one will live forever so she won't have to be sad. It was the first time I used my sewing machine to create a stuffed animal and I absolutly loved it. There will be more animals soon ;-)

Tomorrow is my birthday!!!! I'm so looking forward to it. My sister who lives 2 hours away from us is coming over to celebrate. Can't wait to see her again.

Another bag

My grandmother asked me if I wanted to make her a handbag. As most of you know, I recently started sewing. My grandmother gave me her sewing machine (from the '70s) and now, I'm always surfing the net for cute tutorials.

What do you think? Will she like it?

In a local 'sewing shop' I ordered these name labels. I chose the name 'Sollie Wollie' as my best friend and my sister always call me like that. The little image on the label is a sewing machine ;-)
