I was visiting the blog of Sketchy Thursdays as I'm totally in love with their sketches. And guess what???? My layout was on the list with their favorites. It's the first time that I get this honour so you can imagine that this totally made my day.

And don't forget to play along with their challenges. I'm sure you will love it.

Have a wonderful weekend. I know I will as my best friend and her husband are coming over for lunch on Sunday

Getting nervous

Only 1 day to go and then school starts again in Belgium. Many kids will be sad that the summer vacation is over and so will I. I'll go teaching again. Last year, I didn't have many teaching hours but this year I'll work full time. It will be a big diffrence to me and Eric. I'll be less at home and when I get home, I'll have tons of schoolwork. Oh well, I don't mind. At least I will earn more money, haha. I've done my lesson planning for the first week but I'm still very nervous. It's always like that on the first day after summer vacation.

I made some new LO's the past weeks. Enjoy watching them.

Amazing crop

Wednesday evening, I had a fantastic time. Kelly invited me for a crop at her place. We were with 7 girls, all ready to scrap. I made 2 pages. Hope to post them next time.
Kelly's boyfriend made us some mozarella with herbs toast and it was yummie!! There were some fresh vegetables with sauce and chips too.
Thanks Kelly for this fantastic crop!!! You rock!

25th birthday

Almost 3 years ago, Eric organised a suprise party for my 25th birthday. I made a page about this wonderful party with all my friends. It was fantastic and I was so surprised that I started crying when I saw everybody there. I didn't want to go in as I was a bit shocked, haha.

I used white cardstock and blue paint. The '25' are thickers. Just love thickers.

Have a wonderful weekend and if you are scrapping: be creative!!

Here I am again. Eric's back is still hurting a lot so, I'm helping him at the pub. It's so busy that I don't have time for anything else. I still have letters to write to my pals (sorry girls). My pics are waiting to be scrapped, I can't finish my book that I'm reading, the house really needs to be cleaned ....

Yesterday I went to The Netherlands with a friend. There are some big scrapbooking stores over there that we wanted to visit. We had a wonderful time and I bought tons of paper and alphabet stickers. I hope to find some time to scrap this week as all this fantastic paper is waiting for me.
For those who know some shops in The Netherlands: We visited 'De Creatie' in Veghel and 'De Scrapbookwinkel' in Heesh. Both shops are amazing. I've never seen soooooo many paper. It felt like heaven. Unfortunatly, my wallet wasn't in heaven, hahaha

Going mad in 'De scrapbookwinkel'
Yep, need to pay too

Enjoying some soup at 'De Creatie'

Our healty dinner at Mc Donalds, haha
About our vacation spot!!! It has been guessed already. Rianne, you are right, we are flying to Turkey in August.

Books and game

Hi everyone,
Today is my officially the first day of my 2 months summer holiday. Yippppeeeee!!!! I'm so happy to have more free time now.
Eric and I didn't plan going on vacation this year but we decided to go. We will leave on August 14th and stay there for a week. Now, I guess you are curious about the country we will visit?? Well, I'll play a game with you all. I'll give a clue every day and you have to guess where we are going. I'm curious how long it will take till someone knows the right destination. (Desi, Daphne and Kelly, you can't play as I already told you where we are going, haha)

clue 1: We need to take the plane and it's about a 3,5 hours flight. For those who don't know, I live in Belgium.

Something else now: Eric is having problems with his back. He had surgery about 4 years ago and now he's in major pain again. Poor guy. He's seeing a physical therapist and needs to go to the hospital on Friday for a scan. I hope he doesn't need a surgery again. I try to help him as much as possible so I spend a lot of time in his pub working there. That's why I'm not online a lot lately.

Oh yes, did some scrapping again too. It's a page about the library in my city. I'm addicted to book so you can imagine that I spend a lot of time there. It was my favourite place as a kid and I went there 2 times a week during holidays.

I made another page last week. It's about a crop at Tiny's craft store. They organised an American crop with 3 American girls, cookies, peanuts and coke. I had a wonderful evening and enjoyed talking to the American girls.
My page is based on an Elsie Flannigan page.
Hope your weekend was/is great!!

*Birgit Koopsen Workshop*

Hi girls,
Friday evening was fantastic. Birgit Koopsen came to shop where I buy my scrapping supplies. She gave a workshop about a mini-album and it was great. Finally I could meet Vanessa (Scrapness) too but we couldn't talk a lot because she was a bit late. Hope to see you again soon, Vanessa. Kelly (Talesfromthecrib) was there too so you can imagine we both had lots of fun.

Birgit is the nicest person ever and I absolutly love her pages. You rock, girl!! Can't wait to see more of your creations.

Crop at my place

Hi everyone,

I don't have to work today so I feel great. My Lo for the scrapbook Chalet Contest is almost finished. I'm cutting the title right now. When it's post on the Chalet site, I'll post it here too.

This evening my friend Daphne is coming over again to do some scrapping together. I can't wait to scrap together again as we always have lots of fun. Maybe I can finish my Thailand album this evening. Hmmm, maybe that's a bit too much for 1 evening as I still need to make 3 or 4 spreads.
Here are some more Thailand LO's.
These pics were taken on the boat when we went scuba diving and snorkeling.
This is the pier from where the boat left to go diving.
Oh yes, I handed it the LO for the contest at the scrapbook store where I buy my supplies. Remember I was doubting between the one of my sister or my cat. Well, I chose the one of my sister who went snowboarding. When I showed the one of my cat to the girl at the shop, she asked me if I could leave it there too. She wants to expose it on the scrapbook days too. She loved the flowers I made and she will take a pic of it and put it on their website. I was very pleased with it.
So, enjoy your Wednesday everyone!!

Fantastic Sunday

Hey everyone,
Hope your weekend was great. Mine was good, loved every minute of it.
Yesterday evening I went scrapping to Kelly. It's the first time we did some scrapbooking together. It was great to spend time together. I stayed there till 10.15 pm. Yeah, I know that's late. Time goes by way to fast when you're having fun. Kelly has the book by Elsie Flanningan and she told me to take it home with me to have a look at it. I love the designs by Elsie so I'm sure I'll enjoy the book. If you don't know Elsie, here's her weblog
http://www.elsieflannigan.blogspot.com/ (I have some non-scrapping friends too so I can imagine that they don't know Elsie) I made a page of my sister who went snowboarding for the first time. Now I need some advice of you, guys! I want to take part of a scrapbooking contest and I can enter only 1 page. I have 2 favourites but I can't choose. Can you let me know what LO you love the most?? (The pics are on top again)

Thanks Kelly for the yummie spaghetti and your fantastic company!! Hope we can scrap again soon.

ps: Does anybody of you know how I can post pics between the written part. All my pictures appear above my written part.

Spring again

Here are some pages of my Thailand album. I made them 2 weeks ago but didn't find the time to download them on my pc.

Spring is in the air again!! We are having fanatstic weather for about 3 days now. The temperature is around 18°C. When I came home from work yesterday, I changed my clothes and started running. I did lesson 5 this time and it's getting better. I sweat a lot while I run but I guess that's me burning calories, haha. I could run in a t-shirt with short sleeves. It felt like heaven.

This afternoon I worked in the garden (cut the grass, don't know the word in English). I cleaned the stairs in the house too. The windows are open in the bedrooms to let the spring air inside. After running yesterday evening, I started cleaning the upstairs (bathroom, bedrooms). I guess I have spring cleaning spirit!

Last night was a bad night for my head again. It was so painful. I went to bed at 9 pm and normally I go to sleep at 11 pm. I hope there is nothing wrong with me. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to teaching fulltime again.

It's hard to work fulltime and then start cleaning the house, preparing lunch for the next day, prepare dinner, ... I don't have time to scrap anymore . I'm used to scrap every day so that's a huge change for me. Well, I love teaching so I don't mind working fulltime again. It's only for 1,5 week and then it's my normal schedule again.

Sunny Saturday

And the winners of Dancing with Stars are????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

PIETER AND DAISY!!

Yeah, I'm so happy. My favourite dancing couple won!!! The pregnant lady did
very well too but I loved Pieter more. By the way, isn't he looking cute??
I was watching the show together with my mum and when we heard that Pieter won, we
were shouting out loud. Lucky, the neigbours couldn't hear it, haha.

Today is a real spring day. The sun is out and the temp. is about 13°C. I can even wear my other jacket. Not that winter coat. I hope it stays like this for a while.

Nothing else planned for this weekend. Just a relaxing time and do some scrapbooking. Oh yes, I went to the local craft store as there are 'open days'. There was a lady demonstrating the Cricut. If you are a scrapper, I suppose that you know what I'm talking about. That machine cuts letters, titles, tags, ornaments, .... I really would like to have one but it's a bit too expensive for the moment. It costs 299 euro. I think I'll buy them when it's my birthday. I can ask money to everyone instead of presents. That would be a good deal.

This evening we are having the finals of 'Dancing with Stars'. I've been watching it since the start so I'm very curious who will win. The 2 persons who are dancing the final are

- Cathrine Van Moerkerke: She's reading the news on a tv channel. People talk a lot about her because she's pregnant and still taking part at the contest. She dances fantastic. You wouldn't think that she's pregnant untill you see her belly.

- Pieter: he's a basketball player. It's so funny to see him dance as he's so tall and his dancing partner is so little. I love to see them dance and I hope they can win. Unfortunatly, I think the other couple will be favourite.
So, who will win???????

I've been scrapping too lately so here are some more pics of my pages. Hope you like them.

Have a wonderful weekend.

CJ - Circle Journal

Hi everyone,

This is a post for all the scrappers who read this blog! Did any of you ever participated in a CJ?? Did you like it? What were the themes? What size of Journal did you use?

Yes, I know I have many questions but that's because they are organising a CJ in a Yahoo group. I really would like to take part in it but I was wondering how it would be like.

If you have sites/links to photos of CJ or maybe your own CJ, can you let me know?? It would be great to get some inspiration.

Thanks a lot.

Heel erg bedankt.

Koh Samui

Here I am again with some new Thailand scrapbook pages. These are the first ones of our visit to the tropical island Koh Samui. Hope you aren't bored yet with all my pics. Let me know what you think about them. It's always nice to hear what other people think.
Oh yes, is there someone who can give me a tasteful recipe for muffins and muffins with chocolate??? I hope you guys can help me out!

Life as usual

We had a nice time scrapping together, my friend Daphné and I. She arrived at 4:30 pm and left at 8:15 pm. The first 2 hours we didn't scrap as we were talking and watching each others albums. It's great to see how people all have a diffrent style. Scrapping together is lots of fun and it's a good way to share ideas. We could also use each others material. Daphné bought new stamps, an alfabet. My alfabet wasn't the right one for my page so I could use hers. I made a double page about a temple on Koh Samui. Finally I'm done with the temples. Now I can work on the nature of the island, the boat trips, snorkling, .... I have some nice papers waiting for those pages.
I made a nice LO about me and my aunt. It's an old pic as I was only 1,5 years old then. I made it for a challenge so I can't show it right now but when the winner is known, I'll post it here.
Today will be quiet as always. No plans yet. Just finished ironing and now I need to workout. After working out I want to have breakfast. And later today some scrapping I guess!!!
Have a nice Wednesday and enjoy some new LO's about Thailand
.

Cleaning

This evening, my friend Daphné will come over to scrap. Can't wait!!! It's actually the first time that someone comes over to my house to do some scrapbooking. So right now, I'm cleaning the living room so that it looks spotless. The hardest part is cleaning the carpets as we have two cats who love to run around. They leave hair everywhere. Well, eventhough they let me clean a lot, I couldn't miss them. They are so cute. My sweet Baileys jumps on my lap when I watch tv and sometimes she lays very close to my head when I'm laying down in the sofa. She loves to be near me. What a cutie!!!

Sorry for the small update but I need to rush today so tomorrow will be a bigger update with new pics of my Thailand album. Hope you still wants to see them as I'm posting lots of them lately.

Enjoy your Tuesday!!

Spring Holiday

Hi
everyone,

Here are some more LO's from Bangkok. I've started with those about Koh Samui already but first I want to publish my Bangkok LO's.

This week is spring holiday for the kids so I don't have to go teaching. It will be so much fun to be at home for a whole week. I want to do lots of things and on top of that list is scrapbooking. Yeah, I know, I'm addicted. Well, it's better to be addicted to scrapbooking than to be addicted to drugs or alcohol, don't you think???

Yesterday I went to a craft fair with a friend. She's into scrapbooking too and she makes jewellery of beads. I didn't feel like going on my own so she came with me. The fair wasn't too big but we enjoyed it a lot. We saw tons of nice stuff but luckely I told myself not to spend more than 20 euro. You can easily spend 100 euro over there. I bought a new scrapbook album for 8,75 euro (a real bargain), a white pen to write on pics, photo glue, 2 papers and a scrapbook magazine. Another friend, Veerle, bought some stamps for me in another store (not at the craft fair) because they were a bargain. I paid 7,75 instead of 14 euro. How cheap it that??? I saw so many beautiful things and there were lots of things that I would love to do. There was a place where you could buy a package to make your own teddy bear or rabbit. It was sooooo cute that I almost bought one but they price convinced me not to buy it. It was 45 euro. But I'll make one for sure, just not now. Maybe when I earn more money.

Have a wonderful Monday!
