OMG, where did time go????? It's already Tuesday July 10th. I can't believe this. I really need some time for myself. 10 days have gone and I didn't do any 'vacation stuff'.

Erics back is still very painful. I try to help him every day in his pub. On Sunday, we had a day off as someone else offered to open the pub. We went out with friends to have lunch together. It was fantastic to be with Eric without working in the pub.

On Monday we went to the ' Tour the France'. The cyclists had to ride through Belgium and they came to a city only 3 km from Ieper. We were invited to a VIP-lunch. We could see the cyclists and had food and drinks for free. It was lots of fun to be in the atmosphere of the Tour the France.
Later that day we went to the sauna and jacuzzi so that Eric could relax his back. We were very lucky as there was an offer. We could stay 3 hours and only pay for 2. Isn't that great??? When we came home we watched the DVD 'Blood Diamond'. did you see it already?? It's very touching. I cried at the end.

I'm feeling very sad the last days as my sweet kitty, Baileys hasn't come home for the past 6 days. I really hope she isn't hit by a car. I love her a lot and I couldn't stand the thought that she is dead. The longer it takes the more I realise that she must be dead. She's never away for such a long time.

Another Monday

Here I am again. Yeah, I kow, it has been a few days since I last updated. I didn't feel like surfing on the net and reading weblogs as I had a painful head the past week. I hope it ends soon. Grrrrr, I hate those headacks.

Today was my first real teaching day at the new school. I had a great time and the kids are lovely. I'm sure I'll have a blast there. Pitty that I have to leave on Friday again. Well, at least I'll have a few days together with them. I forgot how it was to work full-time. From the moment I got home, I had to start working again. I need to cook lunch for tomorrow, need to iron some clothes, need to make dinner, ... My god, when will I do all of this. It's freaking me out!! I'm used to a peaceful live with free time to read books, scrap, watch tv. Hmmm, this will change for a week.

Last week I got a big surpise in my mail. Mommahoop has send me a large box ful of surprises for me!!! It took a while untile the box made it to my home as the delivery service presented the box at the wrong house. They went to house number 5 and I live in 51. Suddenly I got a phonecall from the delivery service to ask if I still want the box. I was like : still want the box?!?? I never knew it was in Belgium. So I told them to come over the next day as I was at home then. A man came the next morning and I had to pay him 9,90 euro to get the box. He told me that it was a tax.

So, how was your weekend? Mine was like usual. Did some scrapping, watched tv, ...

Life as usual

What a day!! Well, not that it was that special but the weather is so bad. It has been raining since this morning and the wind is rather hard too. Just got home from work and I'm so happy to be in a warm house. I guess I'll take a bath and read a book while I'm in the bath. It's so relaxing to be in hot water, don't you think???

I have been doing the laundry yesterday evening. I have been washing some bed sheets and they were dry so I had to iron them. When I wanted to take the last one, I saw that Baileys was on it. Enjoying the smell and the warmth of freshly washed items. Later that evening she was under a blanket in the sofa too, haha. She loves to have it warm.

Nothing else to mention. Rather boring life right now.

Friday again!

Here I am again!! Yes, I know I didn't blog yesterday but it was Erics day off and I had to work too. In the morning I did some laundry and at noon I left to teach. When I came home, Eric was there too. We decided to do the grocery shopping. OMG, I was a bit suprised when we got the bill at the shop. It was 97 euro!!!! Yeah, food shopping is expensive but we bought some drinks too. My sister and her boyfriend are coming over for the weekend so I decided to ask my dad and his girlfriend too. Well, just for Saturday evening. We'll have a drink and eat some snacks. That's also one of the reason why the food bill was that high. Normally it's just Eric and myself but now we are with 6. Lucky, it's just for 1 evening, haha.

Last night, we watched 2 movies, Step UP and The Wicker Man. I love dancing movies so Step Up was a really good movie. My god, I wish I could dance like that girl. She was amazing and pretty too.
The Wicker Man was good but not fantastic. I thought it would be better. Nicolas Cage was acting great but the story wasn't that good. Anyway, we had a nice, relaxing evening and went to bed at 1.30 am.

This morning I got up at 8.30 am to start some cleaning. Remember the list I made on Wednesday?? Well, I didn't finish all the 'jobs' I told myself to do. So this morning I cleaned the stairs, hoovered the living room, cleaned the first part of the bathroom. I want the house to look spotless when my sis stays here.

The cats were lazy yesterday afternoon. Watch the pics on top.

And this is how far I'm with my knitting work. (Pic is on top again) Need to use another 'ball of yarn' but it's the first time that I will change yarn. Wish me luck.

Rain, Rain, Rain

Woke up this morning with the sound of rain and when I got to bed last evening it was raining too. Yeah, back to rainy days!! I've been told that we will have storm tomorrow. I hope it waits till the evening as I need to work tomorrow. No teaching for me today. I never have to teach on Wednesday as I don't have a full time job. Yes, I earn less money but I love this school and I didn't want to leave it so I choose to work less hours. The positive thing is that I see my sweetie more. Normally he works when I get back from my work and he's at home when I teach so we don't see each other often. We see each other in bed but I'm sleeping when he gets home.

So with this rainy weather, today will be a crafty day again. Still got lots of pics to scrap from our holiday in Thailand and my knitting work is waiting too. There are still some 'jobs' waiting to be done like:
* working out
* cleaning the stairs in our house
* writing a letter to my friend Claudy
* cooking lunch
* going to the shop to buy a portofolio for my Weight Watchers Recipes.
The 'jobs' in green have been done so far.
