I won't be able to update my blog this coming week!! We are going on a vacation, yippeeeeee. When I'm back I'll post some new layouts and of course some pics.

Mini album

In the 'Creatief met Foto's' magazine I found a cool project to make a mini album. Birgit Koopsen showed how you can make a mini album using coasters (bierkaartjes). I thought it looked great so I wanted to try it too.

New layouts + question

Here I am with some new layouts. The first one is based on a layout that Revlie made. I had so much fun creating the tree with the flowers and buttons.



I created a mini-album about our trip to Gent in February. When I took the pic, the album wasn't ready but now it is. I'll make some pics about it soon and post them here.

The last layout is one about my favorite scrapbookstore in Holland 'De Creatie'. Unfortunatly it's closed now. I'm so sad about that but we found another great store called Paper and Pictures.

@ Sarah: You asked me what paperline I used on the 'Zumba' LO. It's Prima Marketing.

Now my question for you: At the end of next week, we are leaving for a vacation. I want to make a travel journal where I can write down every evening what we did that day and maybe add some pics too. I really have no inspiration so can someone help me???? It would be great to see some pics of your travel journal, or some templates, ...... I really should get started with it as we leave on August 7th.

Shopping!!!!

Daphné and I planned a scrapbook shopping trip to Holland. We live in the West part of Belgium so it took us a 2,5 hour car ride to reach our first shop. What do we need during a long car ride??? Indeed, ascrapbook magazine and chocolade :-)

Our first stop was the beautiful shop Paper & Pictures. It was our first time there and we will surely go there again. What a nice shop!! Lots and lots of paper, alphabets, embellishments, ... The shop owner is such a nice lady too. Can't wait to go there again.
Normally our first stop is 'De Creatie' in Veghel but that shop is closed now. We needed another shop so we decided to go to P&P.

After P&P we drove to Heesch for 'De Scrapbookwinkel'. You can't shop with an empty stomach so we stopped at Mc Donalds and had lunch. After lunch, we did some more shopping at the Scrapbookwinkel.

It was a hot day. After shopping in the Scrapbookwinkel, it was 38°C in the car.

Can't believe ...

that the schoolyear is over now! It ended on June 30th. Here are some snapshots of the last days.

The kids of grade 4 wrote 'Thank you' and all their names.

Hi everyone,

Just a short note to let you know that the spot on my arm was nothing bad. I had my stitches removed last Wednesday and then the doctor told me that the lab result was good :-)

Zumba

Daphné and I went to our first Zumba class together. Waw, this is really fun. The music really invites you to move and dance. It's like you are on a vacation in the Caribean. It was so much fun to move again after being lazy for almost 1 year. After the class I was wondering why I didn't start this earlier. Yeah, I'm addicted to ZUMBA!!! And this after only 1 lesson :-)

Dizzy

On Monday I saw that one of those little brown spots on my body (don't know the name in English) was bigger and it was bleeding a bit. I was so worried that I phoned my doctor and I had to go and see him in the evening. He told me that it had to be removed and send to the lab for examination. Today, the doctor removed it. I was so nervous that I got dizzy during the little surgery. I had to lay down with my feet up till I was feeling better.
Right now, the anestetics are not working anymore and it's getting sore. Still feel a bit dizzy too ...
I hope the result will be good.

My week in pics and some scrapbooking

Another week in pictures. I know, I'm terribly behind since I started in January but here is last week.

May 10: Every 3 year we have a cat parade in our city

May 12: Looking through the order book for next school year. Need to order new manuals for the kids.

May 13: I made tomato soup with little meat balls in it

May 14: Took a relaxing, hot bath

May 16: Went to the scrapbook store to buy some new stuff

Finally found some time to scrap.

Made a page about my dad with his 'Opinel'. That's a brand of knives. He always has this pocket knife with him in his car. He uses it for all kind of stuff. Mostly when we have a picnic.

This is my sister and I. She lives a 2 hours drive from my home. Last month her boyfriend broke up with her after 6 years. I went to see her during the weekend. While I was there we went shopping to cheer her up. On that moment we decided to buy colourful clothes instead of black, brown or white.

Wedding

Almost a month ago we had a wedding to attend. My sister came over to our house to stay with us. On the first pic you can see my sis and I getting ready in the bathroom. The other pics are showing us, ready to go to the party.
