Fantastic news

Hi girls,
I have fantastic news. As you all may know, I work as a teacher in primary school. The past years, it has been so hard to find a job for the next school year. It starts in May when you have to mail out your letter to the schools. Oh god, I hate that.

We have a law here that says that when you work about 3 years in the same school or group of schools you have priority above those who aren't working there for 3 years. They count the days and it has to be 720 (or something like that) or higher. Well, this year I finally reached that amount so I'm priority. Yippee!!!!

And guess what's even better????? I love the school were I work now (I only have 3 hours per week) because I've been here for 3 years now. I know all the kids and their parents. It's a little school and I really like that. A collegue will retire at the end of the year. She works part-time so those hours will be free next school year. We had teachers meeting on Tuesday and the principal told me that because I have priority now, that I can stay at this school next year!!!! I'm such a happy girl now. I finally have found my own place at this school and I hope I can stay there forever. Because we have a little bit more kids than the year before, we get more teaching hours. That means that I have almost a full-time job next school year. Only 2 hours less than full-time. What do you think about that???? Isn't that great???? So, no more letter writting to principals for me. I'm so relieved.
